From January 2015 until the start of the pandemic, Howard curated a weekly afternoon music series in Brooklyn at Pete's Candy Store. Every Saturday, from 4pm to 7pm, some of NYC's finest musicians graced the tiny stage at Pete's with work-in-progress, new projects and collaborations, and/or just plain old great music.
Some of the many incredible acts that appeared included: Laura Cantrell, Jeff Picker, Matt Kanelos, Kyle Sanna + Dana Lyn, Karlie Bruce + Chris Parrello, Skye Steele, Liz Tormes and Phil Sterk. Vic Thrill held down a residency in the 6pm slot that featured some of the most exciting, uplifting music around.
The series was called Secret Saturdays, and it was fun while it lasted.
