Erstwhile HFQ members Russell Farhang (violin) and Mark McLean (drums) reunite with Howard Fishman for two nights in Gotham this month: Thursday, September 1 at TONIC (107 Norfolk Street, New York City, 9:30pm, 212-358-7501) and Friday, September 2 at BARBES (376 9th St.,corner of 6th Ave., Park Slope, Brooklyn, 10pm, 718.965.9177). For those of you fairly new to the fold, Russell playing can be heard on the first three HFQ CDs, as well as on the recently released HFQ VOL.2. Mark McLean played drums on the CD "DO WHAT I WANT" and is the man behind the groove on such tracks as "Mary Ann,""Dating Game" and "A New Life." Should be a couple of very special evenings.
